Watchlist update and Credits

Probably a glitch. There are random things like that we have run into.

Do you have Watch State Syncing enabled?

Just acknowledging your comment and that I will pass it along.

As with Discover etc, having the ability to turn off/unpin ‘features’ gives me a smile. Thanks for that. Especially that the ability to turn it off/unpin it, was provided upfront and not retrospectively after user feedback as was the case with Discover.

I do in my admin account. It uses a blue “D” based on my server name:

On my own managed user account I use to watch things on, it uses an “N”, based on my real name:

Interesting note about this actor. It seems he has two actor pages? I just noticed there are two entries for Trevor Noah in the search panel, one as “Actor”, and one as “Producer, Writer”. Here is the producer page, it works as expected, filled with the 3 items I have with him in it:

Here is the Actor page. It’s completely blank, and the menu lines you see below his portrait are doing a cool flowing animation, but nothing loads:

@Divideby0 The two same actor results pages are related to the glitch about Malkovich mentioned above. Our metadata team is working on it.

As far as the Managed account not seeing the People search results it in the web and desktop app (I think others apps might be affected as well) it seem like it is a bug due to the Movies & TV online source opt-in being set to disabled for managed users or disabled which should not be affecting the People search.

Ok. Oh, any chance we could get ALL Discover features to be able to be enabled for Managed Users? I basically want my managed users to have just as much power and freedom as the base admin account.

I use Managed Users just to separate the watch status and “Continue Watching” hubs for the 3 family members in this home. There is no need to disable such features for parental control reasons here in my house.

As far as I know that is the end goal but we are for sure currently over rotating a bit because of folks who do need parental controls to be more robust. I know we have a few employees that do the same with managed accounts (using them as their main “watching” accounts) so I don’t think that is going to leave our radar.

Fantastic to hear. I’ll be waiting for that, and for end-credit skip. (Announced during Plex week. I haven’t heard anything more about that since though)

Thanks should have disabled the Adult Content before going for the refresh library option. Disabling that and then signing in out made TV work.

I have not personally used it yet but there are internal folks testing a very early alpha. I’m not sure when it will be ready for users to check out.

Will there be a way to make this change optional like the combined CW? I actually kinda liked having the “Available from Watch List” on my home screen.

@kazz3r24 The Available from watchlist should still be part of Discover source. So that has not changed.

Do you mean you want that to be a home screen hub as part of the watchlist source pinned, rather than needing to have discover pinned for that hub? I’m not sure if we are going to have customizable recommendation hubs for Watchlist or Discover sources the way you can manage library recommendation hubs if that is what you mean, but I will certainly pass that along.

I’m not entirely positive, but for context and if you have any experience with the 2019 Shield Pro, I have Discover pinned and set as #5 on the side panel (watchlist is 2). From the home screen - freshly launched app, I could just simply scroll down past recently added and “Available from Watchlist” would appear down near the bottom, this just disappears before I get to it now when I scroll far enough as of today. Now the only way for me to see it is if I actually go to the second pin.

It was just a “nice to have” and I went to check it today and saw it was gone, I can totally get used this just like I did Discover, but I know I would greatly appreciate an opt in or something to have it back.

I think something wonky is going on. I just reordered my Shield sidebar it is; Home, Movies, TV, Watchlist, Discover, and when went back to home I saw the Available from watchlist hub disappear as I was scrolling down. I added something else to watchlist I knew was available and when i went back home the Available from watchlist stayed correctly right below Recently Added TV.

So I think there may be some loading issue on Android TV with that hub after I initially reordered. It should not have gone away for you. Was not an intentional change that I am aware of. Thanks for report.

Happy I could help!

Anyone finding on Android TV (Shield) that at the bottom of the Actor detail where it tells you something is available on your server and the row below it where it shows items available on Plex, that those two rows are slightly overlapping?

It is pretty consistant

Woah, that is pretty crazy. Have not seen that on shield yet but will keep an eye out. Thanks for report.

Seems like it is limited to the Shield, both my tablet and phone (both Android) displays that section properly.

I believe that should be resolved in Android v9.11 (currently in beta)
