Way to switch to old home?

Is there a way to switch the old Home style on the Plex App, before latest update??

Thanks.

I ditto this…the new interface is UNUSABLE.
I have several libraries or videos…and it was so simple to go to Libraries then Spinning and see one of the spinning classes… I cannot find ANY way to get to the Spinning classes…
This is SOOOOOOO frustrating.

I wish someone from Plex could explain the reasoning behind this ridiculous UI roll out. We’ve been fighting it for months on the Xbox1, now it hits android.

And they keep making it worse!

What a disaster!

Can’t wait for that train wreck to hit my AFTV - not that it matters… haven’t had a working AFTV Plex App for 6 years, so I don’t expect to have one any time soon.

I used to use PMP in place of my non-working AFTV Plex App, but that same disaster hit PMP some time ago - and that pretty much ended that. If it gets really bad (often) and I’m forced to use PMP - I have to control it with my Plex Phone App because actually using the PMP App is quite impossible.

The new UI is awful. It makes me feel like I wasted my money on a lifetime membership. It is truly terrible. You can no longer find things. Who in their right mind would ever change to sick a crappy interface. I’m very disappointed. Very disappointed indeed!

The new UI is a big mess… switching between libraries doesn’t make sense, especially when you have them a lot… The previous UI was working well, and I loved it, after upgrade I fell I don’t want to touch this software anymore… something went wrong guys…

Can someone from PLEX please answer these questions??

I have 28 Various Libraries… can you imagine that nightmare?

Plex is convinced they have created a premium user interface and are extremely proud of their work.

Even Oppenheimer knew he’d really messed up when he saw the explosion… Not Plex… They’re so proud of that crap heap they’re geared up to sweep it across all devices.

If there’s a race between Netflix, Prime and Plex to create the world’s worst UI - Plex is so far out in front, Netflix or Prime can’t even smell the dust.

I really dislike the new layout also. Whoever made this probably doesnt use Plex themselve on a daily basis. Its just terrible!

The old layout was solid, I wish I could rollback to the old version on my iPad…

Ummm rolling back on a client is quite simple…
Using android as an example:

Uninstall the app from the device.
Goto plex.tv from a browser on said device and login.
navigate to the plex forums.
goto the release announcements category.
pick your device header ie: android.
scroll to the bottom and then select the last page.
pick the apk that worked for you last: and download it.
install the apk.
go to the store that supplies the app in this case google play for android and set the app to NOT automagically update.
Done!

Sadly, it’s not so easy on ios, it can be done. But it’s not for the faint hearted.

If it isn’t broke don’t try to fix it. The ux on new update is terrible makes no sense at all. Allow us paying customers to return to the old ui. I will never update my ios devices to new ui till I can revert back to old ui.

So simple that it’s impossible on the Xbox one. But thanks for your useless post I guess.

Works well for android, PMP. ios(bit o work).
As to this being useless for you… sorry… eat it!
Not my fault you use a child’s toy to view your server media through.

And I love the new interface!
Sorry again… for not helping you with your hatred of the new interface.

Sure man, your suggestion to roll back helps very few people. Just looking at the list of Plex clients the majority are unable to roll back, and even though a couple can it isnt as easy as android or w/o some tech background to hack it. Would you classify the Roku or AppleTV as a ‘childs toy’? How about Smart TV apps? Childs toys?

If iOS is easy to roll back, go help this guy. https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/318773/rollback-plex-ios-app-upgrade

So, glad you like it, you’re definitely a special guy. :dizzy:
