I recently purchased a WD My Cloud Home 8TB, and I’ve been happy with it so far.
According to WD’s software lifecycle policy, support for this product is set to end in December 2027:

I’d like to ask:
- Will access to the device via web browser and mobile apps (Android/iOS) still be available after this date?
- Will the Plex Media Server installed on the device continue to support remote streaming outside the home network?
If anyone has experience, insights, or official responses from WD or Plex, I’d really appreciate it if you could share.
