I have been a Plex user for over 5 years, and have always used the system with no issues whatsoever. Media is streamed to various iOS devices, AppleTV and Amazon Alexa speakers. Since January, I’d started to experience issue with music playback via Alexa (to the point where it has stopped working altogether). It had been a while since I’d updated the media server software, so to try to fix this issue I downloaded and updated to the most recent version of firmware on my NAS and to the latest version of Plex media server. Ever since then, Plex is unable to see any of my media files
I’ve disabled and reenabled the app via the server, and having done so I’ve received a message saying that the library is being updated. I’ve read some articles on Reddit which suggest this is correct and I should simply leave the server to “do its thing” and then all will be well; is this right? It’s been c.12 hours since the update, and I’ve never had to wat any longer than a few minutes before.
In our family Plex is our principle source of entertainment, and with 3x kids under 11 I need to get this fixed quickly!!
Any help would be most gratefully received.
