we need the new player you guys are working on for the NVIDIA shield.Before we just had the problem of Nvidia shield when you played some movies or TV shows there’d be lagging and you’d have to wait for the video to catch up to the audio. But now after even more updates now I can’t even watch my blu-rays at high quality anymore on maximum quality I have to lower it and make my server transcode when it never had to before for the same movie. We need this new player it’s getting ridiculous we’re not getting any feedback at least get our hopes of saying we’re almost there we’re almost there I mean. I know there’s some problems with the HD stuff working the DVDs movie seem to work fine but the blu-rays are having the problem let’s go. I hope to get some feedback and don’t say oh just transcode your movie to different file format when it worked before I’m tired of having to keep doing that I shouldn’t have to do that

Yeah and my burnt movies right off of the blu-rays are direct to MKV and I don’t want to transcode them or anything I want to keep them as pure as possible and they played fine before they played fine they played fine they were excellent excellent and max quality but now I have to bring it down just to play them I shouldn’t have to do that.

This has gotten ridiculous, for nearly a year I have been touting the NV Shield Pro as the “MUST HAVE” Plex client - the only one that can plat TrueHD ATmos, iover the last few weeks its been a freaking disaster. I have to go to KODI (on NVIDIA) to play my content. Absolutely unacceptable. I have an ATV 4K, but hate to transcode my TrueHD content I’m staring to look at Zappiti and Zidoo again.

They are too busy with the Discover feature that is so close to the home screen that users complain about on the Shield already.

I think I found a possible solution.

I joined the Google Play beta testing : Join App Betas: Android (mobile), Android TV, Apple TV, iOS

My current ‘faulty’ ‘public’ Plex player version is 9.0.5.31871

The Plex player beta version is 9.1.0.31834 and is working fine with all the very large HVEC x265 remuxed movie files again with full Atmos / DTS-X sounds !

Note: Beta testing sounds potentially problematic too but it has fixed today’s problem. I will leave the beta testing once the public version reaches 9.1.0.31834 or something stable and functional

God I just don’t want to have to do beta I want to at least give us like I can understand like hey or planning into release and we’re going to try and lease it in a month here something at least get our hopes up that it’s going to be fixed but to have to go to a beta version and then if you get the new version and it makes you sign out of the beta and all this crap we just I just want some info don’t just say I’m working on it I want to hear like hey we’re working on it it should be out in a couple months here keep your keep you know keep with us.

For the Shield Pro, use the arm64v8a version.
