Web app crashes when using Picture-in-Picture in Safari and changing desktops via spaces

This is 100% reproducible using any version of macOS with native Picture-in-Picture support.

If you’re watching a video with PiP in Safari, and switch desktops via Spaces/Mission Control, the app will crash within a few seconds.

It should be noted that this doesn’t happen with other web players, including YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu.

Even navigating directly to an .mp4 file in Safari and playing it in PiP doesn’t cause this issue.

Following up on this again - is there a solution or fix in the pipeline for this?

As I’ve mentioned before, this is 100% reproducible
