Web app wont find media server or contenet

Hi all
this evening i got an email saying there had been a login to my account that clearly wasn’t me. I immediately reset the password and forced logout. I loaded up my server which runs off my Nvidia shield and all content seems fine. it all plays and nothing looks like its been touched.

My issue is that when i go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop# it says ‘get plex server’ and shows no content. im logging in fine and it recognises me.
So i went back to the shield, logged out, then used the LINK option to connect on the webapp. That all worked fine and the device is now listed as a authorised device.
However no matter what i do- log out, log in, restart the shield, stop the server, restart the server etc. it still wont work on the web app. it still says ‘get plex server’
Can anyone advise please

I can still access the content using the app on my phone- no problem there.

Server Version#:latest for nvidia shield
Player Version#:latest for nvidia shield

That’s the client portion only. From the Plex app on the Shield, go to settings and check if Plex Media Server is shown as running?

If so, then using your web browser visit the Shield’s bundled local Web client using it’s IP address. Check that it’s claimed.

The media server on the shield is running- no issue there. i can watch directly on the shield.
how do i find out the ip address of the local web client?

It’s the IP of the shield. You can find that in your shield’s network settings. Or go into the Plex app settings and enable debug logging. That will also reveal it’s IP address.

it worked- thank you
seems like the server wasnt claimed- no idea how it became unclaimed- but working now

cheers

Possible whoever had control of your account, deleted it from authorized devices, which would unclaim it.
