Hi everyone,
My Plex Media Server is not showing up in the web interface anymore and its media content is not reachable from any clients, even though it is running.
How can I resolve this?
It might have happened after I subscribed to a static IP with my internet provider, but I am not sure what I need to do now to keep using Plex as before.
Thanks in advance for your help
Can you still see/access your server through the bundled web app?
If you’re on the same machine, try opening http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in your browser. Otherwise try http://[local PMS IP address]:32400/web.
Did you by chance unclaim your server (e.g. as part of resetting your account password and opting to sign-out all devices)?
I did try to uninstall it and re-install the latest version, but it didn’t help…
I never reset the account or performed any kind of sign-out or unclaim…
Will be grateful for any advice on what else I could try or how I could discover the reason
The server and web app are running on the same machine.
I right-click the icon in the tray and choose Open Plex… to access the web app.
I assume it means that they are on the same local network (unless I am missing some specific case when the same machine can exist on different networks simultaneously :))
Thank you for the advice.
I followed the instructions.
First, I got this message:
which I confirmed.
Then I received these messages in the log:
Unfortunately, it didn’t fix the problem though.
I quit both the web app and PMS and then entered again. It offered me to add streaming services, but I still can’t see my own server and the media on my machine.
Done with no success.
The log this time shows the server already claimed for the correct user that I am using to access the web app.
Still can’t see any server
I just noticed that the name of the server on the screenshot (Liuda-PC) doesn’t match the network name of my computer. Could this be the problem? How can I fix this?
