Plex Media Server not showing up in web interface

Server Version#: 1.29.0.6244

Hi everyone,
My Plex Media Server is not showing up in the web interface anymore and its media content is not reachable from any clients, even though it is running.
How can I resolve this?
It might have happened after I subscribed to a static IP with my internet provider, but I am not sure what I need to do now to keep using Plex as before.
Thanks in advance for your help

Can you still see/access your server through the bundled web app?
If you’re on the same machine, try opening http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in your browser. Otherwise try http://[local PMS IP address]:32400/web.

Did you by chance unclaim your server (e.g. as part of resetting your account password and opting to sign-out all devices)?

The bundled web app is exactly where I can’t see my server :frowning:
The Activity pop-up shows up empty.

No traces of the server in the side menu.

When I try to add ‘Your Media’, it prompts me to download the Plex Media Server which is already running.

I did try to uninstall it and re-install the latest version, but it didn’t help…
I never reset the account or performed any kind of sign-out or unclaim…

Will be grateful for any advice on what else I could try or how I could discover the reason

Are you on the same local network when trying to access the server using the bundled web app?
Is your server maybe linked to a different Plex account?

If you’re locked out of your server, check out this support article:
https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

The server and web app are running on the same machine.
I right-click the icon in the tray and choose Open Plex… to access the web app.
I assume it means that they are on the same local network (unless I am missing some specific case when the same machine can exist on different networks simultaneously :))

Is there some kind of log I could access to identify the problem?

Try Method 1 from here: You need to reclaim your server, but don't dare to touch the Windows Registry
If something fails, copy the log messages from the left side of the tools’ window.

Thank you for the advice.
I followed the instructions.
First, I got this message:

which I confirmed.

Then I received these messages in the log:

Unfortunately, it didn’t fix the problem though.
I quit both the web app and PMS and then entered again. It offered me to add streaming services, but I still can’t see my own server and the media on my machine.

Please shut down the server using its tray icon.
The go to your Plex data folder,
dive down into the subfolder \Cache
and delete the file cert-v2.p12.

Then repeat the claiming procedure using the tool.

Done with no success.
The log this time shows the server already claimed for the correct user that I am using to access the web app.
Still can’t see any server :frowning:

I just noticed that the name of the server on the screenshot (Liuda-PC) doesn’t match the network name of my computer. Could this be the problem? How can I fix this?

That is quite irrelevant to the issue. It is a value in the registry. You must have set it before to that name.

Anything else I could try then?

Eventually this solution helped:
