I updated my plex server to the latest version on Monday. Tuesday afternoon I went to watch live tv on my PC using Chrome and noticed when I paused it the fast forward button was greyed out. I let it sit for about 5 minutes, no change. When clicking on the time bar it would jump to the beginning of the paused show and not let me fast forward to the original time.
I rebooted my PC and then the server. Tried Edge, Firefox and chrome, all updated to the latest versions. I also downloaded and installed the standalone plex player. All acted the same.
If I leave it paused until the next show comes on, or the time bar goes to the next show, it seems to work again for a bit.
Rescanned my HDHR and tried different channels as well as XTeve , same result.
Also have tried my local IP and app.plex.tv
Downloaded and setup Jellyfin, it works as expected with HDHR.
I tried on my roku and it works as expected.
Playing Movies and Shows from my NAS through plex web works normally its only the live dvr where I am having a problem.
What did I miss in the trouble shooting? Any suggestions?
Edit 1: Reverted to 1.24.3.5033 and it works again. Still looking for suggestions on getting it to work on 1.24.5.5160 Or maybe I should nuke it and start fresh?
Edit 2: Spun up a new VM with just plex installed (latest) and hooked it up to HDHR and played it within that VM with Firefox, chrome and Edge. Time shifting on live tv still broken
Edit 3: Uploaded the Logs from today running 1.24.5.5160 in case anyone can make heads or tails of it. Turned off PIHole and set my dns manually. .Plex Media Server Logs_2021-10-30_11-06-55.zip (5.5 MB)
