Web Shows and Tidal Missing from Plex Menu

Server Version#: 1.14.0.5470
Player Version#: web browser (tested multiple)

Tidal and Web Shows are not available in settings or player menu when using my own domain address. They are visible when using https://app.plex.tv.

I have dynamic DNS with my own domain. Plex is configured as https://plex.mydomain.com. Reverse proxy and encryption are provided by Caddy.

It all works great, but the new Tidal feature and Web Shows are not accessible. Anyone with ddns and reverse proxy with encryption experiencing this?

The web app on your server is not recent enough to have the new features.
You have to wait for an updated server version which includes at least version v3.77.2 of the web app.

I can access Tidal and Web Shows if I connect to Plex using https://app.plex.tv.

Are you saying that the web app on my server is not recent enough and is blocking my own domain or that I shouldn’t have Tidal and Web Shows? Because I certainly have those on my server and I can click on them from the player menu, but only when I use https://app.plex.tv. If I try to use my own domain they don’t even appear in the as options in settings or in the player menu.

It is not blocking anything. It simply hasn’t the necessary code to support these features yet.
The ‘hosted’ web app is usually several version numbers ahead of the ‘local’ web app, that gets included with the server software.

If you want to use these new features in the web app, you have to use the ‘hosted’ version until your server has been updated.

Thanks for explaining.
