I have been experiencing a stange issue with the web os version of the plex app.
when i go into the app the headings above the section appear in different languages, after watching a film they tend to revert back after a bit, but this keeps happening, any ideas.
also are there plant to make the Web os app interface more like the interface on andriod app etc.
Those text are based on the language set on your TV. Check your settings and make sure you are in the correct location.
That is the older app for older LG devices. Unfortunately, that will not be updated. If you can upgrade the OS on the TV, then you would get the newer app which does look more like Android TV.
The Os on mt TV version 5.80.25 and in all location settings are correct for the UK.
Is it an actual LG TV? Some other TV brand running LG OS don’t have access to the new app. Don’t know why, we didn’t do it.

Have you checked if there is an update? What version does the appstore show?

Ah. Your TV is only 1080p. Sorry, the new app is only available on 4K TVs. TV’s that support 1080p do not have the processing power to handle the new app.
Thats SH***t my tv is only about 2 years old how can plex not have though of this before updating.
I might just have to swtich to emby. i am not going out fork out £100’s of pounds just so i can use the new app. my laptop is not UHD and that plays the new app fine.
That’s a totally different app. Plus your laptop probably has 10x the processing power of that TV.
Remember, a TV is not a computer. It has just enough power to handle displaying that 1080p signal, which doesn’t take much. There’s even special hardware in the set to help with that. But to handle actual CPU processing, these devices are just not meant for it. You can use a cheap streaming device like a Fire TV or Roku. These have more CPU power than your TV and run the newer interface.
