Hi, all. Just installed plex on my new tv and am having the exact same issues described in this closed thread. The files all play fine with other devices. Was this issue ever solved/workaround found?
Solved no. Workaround yes. If you force a transcode I can get it to play fine. My guess is that Plex has a bug in their encoding which doesn’t cause issues with most players…it does with LG TVs decoder.
Bummer, thanks for the reply. Total noob question, how do I force the transcode? Is that something in the server settings?
Easiest thing is to disable direct play in the LG Plex client settings.
