Webos plex without internet

I am trying to use the plex app without internet on LG WEBOS but it always says “check your network” wish defeats the purpose of having a home library if i cant access it without internet

if am playing a contact and i lost connection it continues to work but if you lost internet and start the app you cant log in

I already added the local ip of PMS in the app but still the same so there is any way to workaround this?

You can’t really use the Plex app on Smart TV’s without internet. TV’s don’t install apps like they do on mobile devices. Smart TV apps are loaded from the cloud when you start the app similar to loading a web page in a browser. Without internet, you can’t load the app period. This is not just Plex,

If the app is already loaded, it should continue to work, but once you exit the app it has to reload the app which it can’t.

Thanks for the reply, but I have to disagree the competition with the green logo works fine without the internet also the purple one , I wanted to switch to plex because i like the UI and the responsiveness

That shouldn’t be possible to load those apps without internet.

Edit - Just found Smart TV apps can be made in different ways. Plex has chosen their method which does require internet. Sorry for my earlier statement.
