Sometimes, not all the time, when I login to Plex (web, also seen it on mobile, AmazonFireTV, Apple TV) my Plex server is not available and I can only see ‘friends’ that I’ve connected with.
The only work around for me is to switch user, select one of my kids logins who can only see my Plex server and one specific library and then switch back, then my user can change from viewing friends libraries to ours!
Its almost as if my login is ‘defaulting’ to a friends server, and on initial login can’t even find the server running in the next room.
Has anyone else experienced this strange behaviour its been happening a while and is quite irritating now.
Your Plex clients should default to the last seen server. However, if that server is not available at the time it searches, it will switch to the next available server with the best connection. Do you have your PMS computer go to sleep? That could delay the connection enough to show as unavailable initially.
