What Happened to my Server?

Receive notice on my status page that there is a update required for Plex so I download and allow the update. Now the system says my server is unavailable and I have to rebuild everything. The files and all are still on the system but the “server” isn’t there. Recreating the links and libraries is a pain. The WD NAS 4100 which also received an update appears to be fine.

Server is a Win10 Pro running Plex version Version 1.16.5.1488 (after update).

No, I didn’t try that (I hadn’t found that post but I have bookmarked it now). I actually manually ran Windows Updates to verify that all updates were properly applied and then did a shutdown on my “server” and left it for a few hours. When I brought it back up, I verified that everything was running before I tried Plex and surprise, everything was finally working as before. So, in the words of “The IT Crowd” – “Have you tried turning if off and back on?” // IT Words to Live By :smile:
