Roku didn’t let me rewind/fast-forward some MKV video without ending up restarting. I disabled both the direct play and direct stream and I was able to rewind and fast-forward, the instant rewind button worked. My files are mostly 1080p and I prefer high quality of videos. I just use the same wifi network for all devices within the home. What would happen if I disable direct play and direct stream? Does enabling them affect subtitle offset (srt files) for MP4 files? I actually have problem when the subtitle delays for a few seconds while playing video on Roku sometimes. On computer (VLC Media) does track right timing with subtitle. Let me know.
