You should not have to do anything special for playback using PlexConnect, that is the beauty of it.
it does not show upp in my movies?
Are you running Plex media server (PMS) and have you added the location your files are in to it?
PlexConnect is only a client for the PMS.
first i tried to move a file from the iTunes folder to my folder where my movies are. then it shows up in plex. but i cant play it. and if i ad the directory where the itunes movies are it also shows up but i still cant play it
hmm. now i tried it again and now i did work =)
is there someway i can ad subtitles to those movies i have bought?
Have you checked to see if they already have subtitles? When the movie is playing hold down the select button on the remote and see what options it gives you.
some movies have subtitles. but some movies have not. also one movie that have subtitles doues not show ant subtitles.
why should you see movies you bought and legally normally from itunes store in alpha of plexconnect when you have it full functioning in the movies app in the tab purchsed in your atv ?
because it i allways smoother if you have all your movies in the same place?
it looks crazy to have 2 movies in a trilogy in one place and one in another.
Why shouldn't we??? I purchased my content, I should be able to play it back using what ever method I like, plus the native media library on the ATV's homesharing sucks.... No search. TV Shows aren't listed by series, it's all the seasons dumped together in one big list. Very limited metadata.... No give me Plex any day, and the fact it plays back iTunes drm'd files is just a great added bonus.why should you see movies you bought and legally normally from itunes store in alpha of plexconnect when you have it full functioning in the movies app in the tab purchsed in your atv ?

>> iTunes... TV Shows aren't listed by series
Mine are... add the show title under Get Info->Video->Show, then add Season and Episode as well.
I have to admit iTunes organisation is pretty pants for media files.
Plus not being able to stream your media when away from home (unless it happens to be some of the stuff you purchased through iTunes) is the Achilles heel for me.
The only really frustrating thing for me with Plex is the insane organisation of specials as S00 rather than by air date, especially given the rich metadata available. I often only watch series once it hits season 2 or 3 (nothing worse than watching 20 episodes for it to be canned), if I forget to check if they have Xmas specials then I often miss out a chunk of the plot.

Well I'm not talking about iTunes, I'm taking about the way the aTV displays TV shows, if you'd quoted the entire sentence instead of the bits that just make your point you'd see that I meant that the main list has all the seasons for each series listed instead of just the single series entry that then goes to a list of seasons for that show, and that makes for a very messy list.
add the show title under Get Info->Video->Show, then add Season and Episode as well.
Seriously, you think I don't know how to tag TV shows in iTunes
https://code.google.com/p/subler/ - Subler is a free app that allows you to add soft subtitles to MP4/m4v files that are from the iTunes store AND non drm'ed movies.
