What the heck? Cannot locate server. What can I do?

Hi, my name is Chris–

I’m using windows 7 and have a WD mycloud mirron gen2. All software is updated, funny but I think the updates caused the problem!!

Anyhow, I was so frustrated that I uninstalled, reinstalled, and even started a brand new plex account (just to be safe?). After logging in to my new account PLEX searched my drives on my laptop and located and got metadata, etc for all that music. So far so good. I made sure to map the drive for my WD My Cloud (y:) and then went into PLEX and added a folder to the library from the My Cloud. Thats when things went grinding to a halt. After rebooting several times, the plex page just looks for servers and never finds anything. Now I can’t even locate the files on my laptop drives which it found previously.

I had this all up and running for the last two years and all of the sudden I’m getting shut out.

Who can help me?

I am having the same problem. Plex cannot find the server. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Plex Media Server over and over but it still won’t work. Plex has worked great for a year or so, but now won’t work at all. Very frustrating!

I also can’t find my server. Tried all of the above but no luck. I do have access to a friend’s server but mine is nowhere to be found.
