Every device I use to access Plex is different, why isn’t the experience consistent from device to device?
It seems that it was easier with older versions, -easier to play a movie or TV show or song.
Why does it take so many button clicks to get to the desired content?
It seems that Plex is slowly making it more and more cumbersome to access my media. Am I missing something?
They are all different because different platforms have different quirks and they way folks expect to interface with them. Like Apple TVs have that trackpad like remote that does certain things like sliding the playback options from the top. Roku has the Star button that allows for easier access to specific options for hubs. We are slowly making apps as similar as we can while keeping some aspects that benefit the platform they are on. Some platforms have specific requirements to be approved in their respective app stores.

I am just happy I can use Plex on my iPhone 6, my wife’s iPad Air, my wife’s iPhone XR, my Windows 10 Surface Pro 2 using Edge, my desktop Windows 10 computer using Edge, my Roku 3, and Roku Plus. They are all similar and I love all of the options.

Understood, thanks for the response. I imagine its quite the headache to get it working even remotely similarly from device to device.
My wish is that it would be possible to set home page display settings for the account so that at least what is displayed on the home page is consistent from device to device.

an option to keep all (or certain) devices in sync would be great, however I personally do not want them all exactly the same, as I customize the home screen to the device and how I typically use it.
for example, my home screen hubs for home devices generally have TV centric hubs first. Because I watch more tv at home.
My mobile devices tend to have movie centric hubs first, because on mobile I tend to watch or have a movie playing in the background.

That is something we are currently trying out with the web app right now (Web Settings>General>Turn On Settings Sync). So you don’t have to pin the same libraries/hubs every time you sign into a new Web client for the instances you have it enabled. We hope to bring it to other apps as well.

I think an ideal solution is to have a simple default display,
consitent between devices: libraries and library contents.
It would seem that any device capable of running Plex should be able to handle a simple interface default.
From there, customizations can be made for users, devices, media types e.t.c.
well there is a default with the uno interface, the setup wizard should let you select the pinned libraries, and the hubs will adjust accordingly.
