When Calls the Heart - HELP!

I’m having no end of problems with the TV show When Calls the Heart. I have NEVER seen anything so messed up. Hallmark has released them on DVD - some as episodes, some as “movies”. The movies are supposed to be two combined episodes, and some are, but some are not (some have apparently skipped an episode or added one). And some movies are named differently than the episodes and some are the same.

On top of all that, the episodes don’t even line up with each other. For example - season 2:

My DVD – 10 episodes
#1 & #2 Trials of the Heart
#3 Heart and Soul
#4 Heart’s Desire
#5 Heart of the Family
#6 Awakenings & Revelations
#7 Heart and Home
#8 Coming Together, Coming Apart
#9 Follow Your Heart
#10 With All My Heart

IMDB – 9 episodes
#1 Trials of the Heart (aired 25 Apr. 2015)
#2 Heart and Soul (aired 2 May 2015)
#3 Heart’s Desire (aired 16 May 2015)
#4 Awakenings & Revelations (aired 23 May 2015)
#5 Heart of the Family (aired 2015)
#6 Coming Together, Coming Apart (aired 6 Jun. 2015)
#7 With All My Heart (aired 13 Jun. 2015)
#8 Heart and Home (aired May 2015)
#9 Follow Your Heart (aired 13 Oct. 2015)

TVDB – 7 episodes
#1 Trials of the Heart (aired April 25, 2015)
#2 Heart and Soul (aired May 2, 2015)
#3 Heart’s Desire (aired May 16, 2015)
#4 Awakenings & Revelations (aired May 23, 2015)
#5 Heart and Home (aired May 30, 2015)
#6 Coming Together, Coming Apart (aired June 6, 2015)
#7 With All My Heart (aired June 13, 2015)

Netflix – 10 episodes
#1 Trials of the Heart pt 1
#2 Trials of the Heart pt 2
#3 Heart and Soul
#4 Heart’s Desire
#5 Heart of the Family
#6 Awakenings & Revelations
#7 Heart and Home
#8 Coming Together, Coming Apart
#9 Follow Your Heart
#10 With All My Heart

As I’ve seen it, the other seasons aren’t much better!

I’m not asking for much! I just need to know which is the correct order and how to get them to PLAY in the correct order on Plex! HELP PLEASE!

Thank you!

Tina

Notice the runtimes in thetvdb.com Some are 85 minutes. You may need to combine DVD episodes together to match what is in thetvdb.com.

Using aired order on thetvdb.com for season 2

e1 = Trials of the Heart, 85 minutes, possibly DVD e1 & e2 combined.
e2 = Heart & Soul = DVD e3
e3 = Heart’s Desire, 85 minutes, possibly DVD e4 & e5 combined.
e4 = Awakenings & Revelations = DVD e6
etc.

Unfortunately, the DVD order on thetvdb.com does not match your DVDs. If you set Plex to use DVD order you will still have to combine episodes, just in a different combination than the aired order.

You can use MKVToolNix to combine episodes before adding them to Plex, transcoding with Handbrake, etc.

They can just enter them as a split episodes in naming and follow TVDB’s episode numbering conventions. No need to transcode and reduce quality. Does anyone have a list of clients that don’t support the multi-part format?

Forgot about split episodes. Thanks for mentioning it.

The mkvtoolnix method does not transcode. That’s the beauty of it.

I was replying to the latter part about using Handbrake, kthx.
