When Navigating <back> using my MCE remote I go up a level and then back down to the node i was b4

When I am browsing my media and I go up a level (back), the browser goes up two levels. If there isn’t two levels to go up, it returns to the lower level I was in prior. If I am browsing alphabetically, say J and i’m in the movie Jack Reacher; in order to return to the J position where I entered the movie. I have to bring up the drop down (mark as watched/delete/ goto movies). At this point the back button goes back two levels. First being closing the drop down and second the movie and I am at the J alphabetic movie section again.

if I go back from inside the movie, it takes me to the top level with the movies highlighted and movies lists displayed below.

I navigate using a MCE 44 button remote in PMP is in full-screen TV mode.

Plex version 13.9.2
Player 2.1.1
OS win10

It’s a clean install. I just re-built this laptop. core i5 6 GB samsung model???

I can get more information if you need more than this.

Am I the only one having this problem???

Sounds like you’re using the PMP 2017 Disaster Upgrade 9000.
If there is ANY way for a Plex App to suck - Plex will make sure it does.

Abandon All Hope.
Attempt to use your Phone’s Plex App to control PMP - and I hope you have one.
That’s how I run mine, but I still need that mouse on the 15’ extension cable to get things started.

Good Luck.

It appears there isn’t a simple fix, but I am married to my remote. It always worked flawlessly before, The app just doesn’t seem to have the back function integrated properly.

I think they are spending too much time modifying the looks and ignoring the functionality. They have gone from open source to commercial and the GUI changes are just easy. The problem is they are changing some interfaces multiple times and it seems they are not sure what the end result is going to be.

Thanks for the comment
