It seems to show this way on both web and my firecube, I have no other plays here to test with. But not only does it show both playing, it marks them both as watched after the fact.
This is normal behavior. Well, it’s abnormal as far as I’m concerned but it’s unfortunately how it works
The two copies are located in different libraries, but are matched to the same title.
If you play one, the other is also indicated as in progress.
To make Plex treat different versions of the same title as different, you’d need to make them truly different. By assigning an edition tag to one of them: https://support.plex.tv/articles/multiple-editions/

Oops, I thought it had been appropriately renamed with the {edition-4K} but it wasn’t. And thank you since I noticed that about half of them have also been missing this edition naming. I am sure that is the issue!
