Hello, thank you for your reply. I think I understand what Plex Server is doing during the scheduled tasks. However, it’s occupying the full CPU, and Synology sends me temperature alerts daily. Is this normal?

Synology NAS units do not have a CPU cooling fan.
They only have the fans on the case itself.

If you’re seeing temperature alerts, open it up and clean it (dust)
Also confirm you’re not running the fans at their lowest setting.

I have two of them and never experience temperature alerts even when dusty inside

Even with the fans on High, I never hear them.
