When will problems reported about Gracenote data be fixed?

Last week, I followed the instructions in the thread Reporting Gracenote EPG Data Issues because it’s giving the wrong schedule for RetroTV in the Portland, Oregon area since mid-July. (They’ve mixed up the east and west coast schedules.)

I tried refreshing the program guide today, but it’s still wrong. When / How often does Plex send corrections to Gracenote?

I can’t say exactly when it’ll be fixed, but I don’t think within a few days is realistic. Plex needs to compile them, send to Gracenote, they need to investigate, make any changes required, etc.

With that sort of lag time, it sure would be nice if we had the ability to override the guide when it is wrong.

E.g. If the EPG lists Doctor Who as being on at 4pm weekdays, I would like to override that and say “no, record this at 7pm every day.”

Maybe just “shift everything this guide says by +/- ‘x’ hours” would be sufficient, as I suspect that is the most common issue.

Guide for RetroTV in Portland has now been wrong for a month. I discovered the problem and reported it 2 weeks ago.

The program I want to record airs 18 episodes a week. That’s 36 episodes I’ve missed since I caught the problem, and around 72 episodes since Retro changed their schedule (I had to delete a bunch of recordings that recorded the wrong thing!).

The problem with the schedule for one of my local channels being off by 3 hours has finally been fixed. It took them 2 months to fix it after I reported it.

(Slow clap)
