Where are playlists, libraries and what happened to remote access?

After years of paying monthly, I finally paid for a lifetime subscription at the beginning of the year and this is the worst update I’ve seen Plex make since I’ve used the program.

  1. The Android phone app and tablet app no longer show any of my playlists. I had five of them, and they’re gone.
  2. I can no longer access libraries (I get an image stating “No libraries found.”)
  3. The remote access is almost unusable. I attempt to play a video and I get a black screen that lasts for about a minute. Then I see a frozen image from the video followed by two minutes of buffering until it finally starts. If I use the scrubber to advance or rewind the video, the waiting process begins all over again.

What was Plex staff thinking when they created this miserable update? Why can’t they just leave the program alone without constantly having to make changes to it?

Paying for my lifetime subscription was a big waste of money.

You have this tagged “android-mobile-legacy” but you are clearly referring to the new app in the post. That would be just “android-mobile” since Plex considers the versions on the Play Store to be release quality (guffaw).

There’s no “android-mobile” in the list!

That’s so strange. I went through the drop-down list four or five times and there was no listing for “android-mobile.” It looks like someone edited my post and substituted it… thanks to whoever did it!
