I’m running Plexamp on my Pi and have a kiosk browser on its touchscreen, this browser is pointing to localhost:32500 and is doing great.
I’m currently fighting with (Tidal) songs often stopping to buffer so I’m playing around with the cache settings, etc. Doing it via the touchscreen was a bit tedious so I point a browser to ip.of.my.pi:32500 and confirm that my player is the correct one. As a song plays, I see the metadata displayed in both browsers is in sync, awesome.
But when I go to the settings in the desktop browser, they’re not the same as the Pi browser settings at all. So are the browsers not reflecting the headless part’s settings correctly, or does the headless part derive its settings from whichever browser happens to hit play?
As long as it’s a freshly loaded/refreshed browser, most of the settings should reflect the headless settings (not things like appearance, yes things like cache).
Thanks for the clarification. That’s what I thought should happen so I started digging a little deeper and I’m not too proud to admit that I was pointing my browser to ip.of.my.OTHERpi:32500
I had previously trialled Plexamp on there before committing to replacing my touchscreen Pi from Volumio. It did remind me to kill the service on there though, so no more mistakes.
