Hi, maybe I missed something, but since yesterday I see ads when I start to watch a movie that‘s stored locally. I switched to a lifetime subscription recently, so I really don‘t want to see ads on media that are stored on my local NAS. If that‘s the way it supposed to work right now I‘ll go and find some other solution (not without warning everybody I know regarding Plex first!)
Plex doesn’t add ads to your local content.
Are the ads you get to see reproducible across different players or is this about a specific app?
There’s been reports in the past where certain platforms injected ads playing in apps. Though I haven’t seen any of those in quite some time.
It seems to be gone now. I’ve updated to the latest server version a few minutes ago. I saw the ads streaming local media files when using the iPad player.
