Where does Sub-Zero.bundle folder go (under Plug-In Support)?

While testing my Plex backup script, I sort of messed up the %localappdata%l\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Data\com.plexapp.system\DataItems\Deactivated folder. It used to contain the Sub-Zero.bundle, and I have a copy, but I do not remember if there were two or one levels, i.e. %localappdata%l\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Data\com.plexapp.system\DataItems\Deactivated\Sub-Zero.bundle\Sub-Zero.bundle (i.e. two levels: Sub-Zero.bundle\Sub-Zero.bundle) or %localappdata%l\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Data\com.plexapp.system\DataItems\Deactivated\Sub-Zero.bundle (i.e. one level: Sub-Zero.bundle). Anyone knows?

Also, anyone has any idea what the purpose of the Plug-in Support folder is? Is it necessary?

Thanks.

@trumpy81 Awesome. Thank you so much. Just one follow-up question: are you saying that the Plug-In Support folder non-essential for the backup? If I do not include it in a backup, would it break anything or will it be restored?

Heavens, no!
%localappdata%l\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support contains the main Plex database and a lot of various preferences.

Merely the contents of
Plug-in Support\Data\com.plexapp.system\DataItems\Deactivated
may be non-essential.

I wonder whose idea was to place the main Plex database in the Plug-in Support folder.. (This is especially puzzling in the context of the plug-in EOL that Plex announced).

The Plug-ins system in Plex started out as a lot more than just web scrapers for media content.
Scanners and metadata agents are also (technically) handled as “plugins”.
There is a lot more to it and the whole infrastructure is also already a few years old.

Understood, but the main Plex database (or a couple of them) didn’t start as a web scraper or a metadata agent, right? It was the core component of the application. I just find the placement of the core component in the Plug-in Support folder a bit weird. Anyway, thanks for your help. I think I’m good.
