haven’t used the player for a while. Fired it up today and my media isn’t there. Get a message saying add your media by downloading the media server - which is already running!
reinstalling the media server doesn’t help
neither does updating the player

It sounds like your server is no longer claimed by your Plex account for some reason. You want to check your server:s dashboard (by browsing to the actual local IP address for it).
If you’re still needing help, please give information on your setup. Starting with what OS your server is running on.

And how are you checking that? Via the webapp? Your phone? Firestick?
If you go to your server, click on Settings->Genera. Is there a “Claim Server” button displayed?

There is no reclaim server option
Ok, that seems to be a good sign. In settings, do you see you server name listed after the Plex Web section?

That’s not good. Try reading this thread. I think you have the same problem. Read the support threads that are linked in it.
