I am using Plex on R9000 and I can’t find the Chromecast.xml.
Before any unnecessary comments: I have tried locating it under “Library/Plex Media Server” (and all sub directories) but had no luck so far.
Please help!

Look in you’re Plex installation folder: “/PlexMediaServer/Resources/Profiles/Chromecast.xml”
I do not have a “Resource” directory under “Plex Media Server”
The path to “Plex Media Server” is:
//Readyshare/USB_Storage/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/
Trying to re-live this question after a few months… Is it possible for someone from Plex to actually read some of these posts and provide some answer???
I’ve been a lifetime member for quite some time but I’m getting frustrated on why is it so difficult to know where should I drop a new Chromecast.xml file so I can tweak a few settings and try to solve a problem while the Netgear router tries to transcode HVEC files.
PEOPLE FROM PLEX!!! PLEASE HEEEELP!!!
I’m wondering if I should start looking for some other software…
If your using Docker (and I assume it’s the same for standard Linux Installation, too) you can find the profiles folder here:
/usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/Profiles
