My server does not see v1.16.1 and thinks it is up to date at Version 1.16.0.1226. Is there something special I need to do in order to get the new version? I am not a hobbyist and not interested in beta testing. Is the new version still required by Jul 1 for live tv/dvr?
They made the announcement a little bit early so everyone can be ready.
Please make sure you’re set for Public and when 1.16.1 is released to public, you will see it.
Same here. I am running Ubuntu 18.04 and using the public package repository deb https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ public main and my server thinks it’s up-to-date on version 1.16.0.1226. When I go to the downloads page it shows version 1.16.1.1291-158e5b199 available.
I’m hoping the 1.16.1 package makes its way into the repo soon so I don’t get my live TV recordings cut off.
Thanks @ChuckPa. I’ve taken your suggestion and installed the latest version manually. I deleted the DVR and re-added it with my channels and everything seems to be in order for recording live TV. I have disabled updating from the Ubuntu public repo for now, at least until the repo version catches up to the version I have installed.
