Why, on the poorly designed new web interface, have you provided an upcoming sports, movies, and news options, but NO UPCOMING SHOWS!!!
The guide is badly designed, scrolling down the channels, but having to click to move every 30 minutes, making it impossible to use to search for new shows! I now have to watch tv on every channel to see the adverts to look for new shows, thus defeating the point of having a dvr in the first place!
Please add this option, or replace the previous ability to display all shows, etc from the guide page.
Oh yeah, can you please, please, please hire an ergonomics expert? Maybe just google the word, or the 3 click rule, or accept that people want to use plex on devices other than android phones with tiny, tiny, screens? Could you decide what it is you actually want to achieve, instead of randomly changing direction every few minutes, and making what could be a great bit of software incredibly unworkable?
Agreed, this option ,showing all upcoming shows in a cover grid style, is sorely missed. I haven’t found anyway to get the same info in a concise way. As stated clicking through all the guide is. a non-starter and searching by name is useless when you don’t know what is coming on. Please considered adding this feature back in, well really this view of the data that is already on the system. Having all shows in the guide in a grid with the ability to filter genre and such was one of my favorite plex features.
I had forgotten we also lost the ability to sort by genre… now I’m missing the old way even more… and forcing on us the upcoming sports… and upcoming news… when at the same time taking away something useful… makes it an even more bitter pill…
Probably a little different, but related… Is there a way to add something for future recordings that are not yet in the guide? For example, I want to record some show / movie, but it’s not in the guide yet (may not even be scheduled) but I don’t want to miss recording it if/when it ever shows up. I’d think that with the media databases that Plex uses, we should be able to identify the show or movie we want to record and then in the future, if/when it shows up in the guide, it’s automatically scheduled to record.
Also this weekend after reading that thread I was able to get to what amounts to the upcoming show grid on my phone (android): Live TV & DVR -> (Scroll all the way down to the bottom) Shows. This gives me the grid layout I expect of all the shows in the guide, but as pointed out in the other thread there are no filters. Which seems to be a UI issue.
So I tried just now to get that layout on the web interface and I was able to get to the same grid without filters. I searched for a show, anything that will get a hit, then when displaying data about that show, there is a link labeled other clicking this will get you to the upcoming grid. There is most likely an easier way to get here but I have not found it.
Thank you… that does work… I just clicked on any show shown on the suggested page… such as upcoming tv shows… or a suggested show… then when I click other on the right side it does bring up the grid we’ve been missing… good job finding what was hidden (for no good reason).
Thank you.
