Wheres my movie gone?

So I recorded a movie fantastic beasts it was saved on my NAS like all my other movies. when I went in to play it thru Plex now only was it labeled wrong with a movie despicable me 2 I had recorded already months ago. I went in changed the movie label and now despicable me 2 is GONE still on my NAS but plex ignors it and will not list it. this is not the first time this happened. I need to know how to fix it so the movie shows up again.

How do you name your files?

Hi Otto
I name them as they are named in the movie. This does not help at all. it saw it before and now it was gone?

Version 1.10.1.4602
windows 10pro 64bit all updated
see above for issue

Are you following the naming convention that Plex requires? See the link in my signature.

Practically all your movie files are missing the release year. This is an important hint for Plex which movie it is.
Always name your files Movie Title (year).ext

Since you have almost exclusively mp4 m4v files, embedded metadata within these files can throw the ‘matching’ process off.
To prevent this, do the following:
Go to Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under
Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
+
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
+
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase

After doing all of the above, perform the Plex Dance with both Fantastic Beasts and Despicable Me.

Side note: if a movie title contains an illegal character (like e.g. the colon :), don’t replace it with a different character. Instead, simply leave it out.

Give this a thorough reading:
