Hi, I have noticed that some titles of songs in my library are being truncated in Plex. Anyone else noticed this? I have checked the embedded tags and they are all full and correct. I am using a Premium music library and the embedded tags options. Strangely, it doesn’t seem to be consistent. Is there a setting i am missing somewhere?
Make sure the “Local Media Assets” agent is at the top of the list in Settings > Server >Agents > Artists > Plex Premium Music
Also for … > Albums > Plex Premium Music
That looks very odd. I’ve never seen that in Plex myself.
This might be far fetched but your screenshot brings back memories from the good old winamp days where having id3v1 tags produced this same result (because id3v1 could only have a certain length in the title field).
So, are you sure you’re using id3v2 tags? I suppose it would be a bit odd if you didn’t, but I’m just throwing it out there.
Which software version is this? I remember this being an issue with a really old version of Plex Web.
Thanks for the replies. @d2freak gave the clue…dbpoweramp settings had gone haywire and were pumping out ape tags! Corrected and everything is fine. Many thanks for your help.
