I recently downloaded Plex and I’m really surprised that no desktop or mobile version - Windows, Android, or Linux, free or pro - offers the user the ability to adjust subtitle sync, colour, size, etc. It seems very, very strange that Plex has chosen to do this for their latest version, even though the Samsung Smart Hub version of the app has this feature. However, it is too slow and buggy to use, so I would very much like the ability to do this on my phone or laptop. Can anyone explain if there’s a way around this?
That’s a pretty good question - and one I can’t answer.
I will say that Roku Devices (in their global system settings) at least offer some settings for subs. My limited use of subs lets me add a drop shadow and adjust the size and I believe I could change the color, but don’t quote me on that.
Plex probably let’s the device handle those functions and it may be all Plex can do is deliver the subs and it’s up to the device to customize them, but don’t quote me on that either.
