Why can’t my friends see me?

I set up a Plex Server this year and with all your help it’s perfect! My issue is why can I see all my people I share with and if I start a Watch Together alls we’ll. But on their devices, me and none of my other shared friends can be seen. It just shows them? I thought everyone I share with would be able to do watch together without me? Is this maybe because they are using the Free iOS client and didn’t pay the 5 bucks?

Them being friends with you does not make them friends with each other. Though they should be able to see you.

In the mobile app tell them to open sidebar click then on their avatar to view their profile. then on that screen click on “View All” . after that there is a +Add button on iOS or a + button on android to add friend where they can enter a user name send an invite to be friends with another. They will need to do that for each user. On the requests tab they can accept the friend request…

The app isn’t free for watching from a Plex Media Server.

I’m not sure what you mean? The app is free and kids were watching from half day of school. I’m just wondering if the 4.95 one time upgrade to the app is the issue.

If your kids were watching on a device with app signed into your account it is free because you have a Plex Pass for which one of the benefits is access to our mobile apps.

For those without a Plex Pass our mobile apps are not free

I understand I think. Thanks for the help. Everyone I share with is asleep. Lol I’ll try the friend thing tomorrow. So because I have Plex server lifetime. Everyone I invite gets the in app purchase of 4.99 for free?

This is part I don’t understand:

For full access to mobile media playback, the Plex mobile app must be unlocked first with an in-app purchase.

Because I have the lifetime paid plan. Anyone I share my server with doesn’t need to buy the in app 4.99 upgrade?

By the way in all there friends lists I am listed so I think we are on the right track
