I’d like to understand why a plex API outage causes my Plex server to become inaccessible and unresponsive locally. During this recent outage connecting to localIP:32400/web resulted in connection refused, connection time out, and when it did load and say go to settings “Settings are unavailable”
I have my LAN subnet in the LAN Networks field 10.0.0.1/255.255.0.0
Moments my Xbox and web could connect, starting any videos resulted in frozen or dropped playback requiring force quit of the Xbox app or browser refresh. Xbox was even set to use Local Server IP and still had issues.
This is not acceptable. The entire point of local access, local host, and local user is to use the service on my LAN without any influence from plex.tv
What gives?
