Why is my plex identifying all of my 168 shows and then slowly removing them one by one?

I did. I changed the root ones to x:\tvshow . But no joy.

Can you plex dance something and then post your server logs ?

Will do. But doing 1 better . Total uninstall and wiping of all traces of it on pc. Then fresh start, don’t care about metadata and so on. I only use plex on my treadmill. Not my main driver. Let’s see what happens.

See Uninstall Plex Media Server.

When you re-create the libraries, add one directory at a time, T:\tv shows, then R:\tv shows, etc.

If Plex stops adding things correctly, then pull & post the log files as @dbirch suggests.

Ok first drive added , the biggest one, has 135 shows. Zero issues. On to next.

Fixed!!! You are all going to make fun of me though. Oh well. In my defense I expect the software to account for people like me being dumb. So.
I added my last drive and the issue started again! Then I looked at it. It was THE SAME share from the same server as a previously added share!! I was feeding it to plex twice. So it would add them on share 1, then see them on share 2 (I guess it thought they moved), and deleted them. Each scan repeated madness. Sigh.
Thank you guys for your ideas, learned a lot. One added benefit, having the movies perfectly named allows identification at like 10x speed. Maybe faster.

You should go back to that other thread and tell them yours is a different issue, because you added that you’re on Windows while everyone else was on Mac on that thread. So it’s gonna throw them off and they’ll think it affects Windows as well.

Edit: NVM I left a comment there for you.

thanks
