why does my remote access always drop out now. what is the purpose of having a remote server if i can never access it?

Do you have remote access enabled, the IP Adress set to static and port forwarding setup?
How does one verify these are done?
Setting the static IP address and port forwarding are done on your router. Remote access is done in the Server settings.
