Why is plex hidjacking 90% of my qnap ressources when not in use?

Server Version#: 4.30.2 qnap ( hdx53 & tvs463)
Player Version#:

Plex is using 95% of the cpu and 90% of ram,
while not suppose to do anything if you refer to the plex’dashboard.
It’s like plex use my system’s ressources to mine something when not in use.
I have this issue with all my qnap.
It not permanent, but happen often, usualy when I try to use my qnap at unsual time ( night or early morning)

You don’t mention your plex server version. I had one that did that a few weeks ago. I would get the latest build installed

Most certainly not – unless maybe you got a hacked version of the Plex Media Server package from some dubious source
Plex is handling some maintenance tasks during a scheduled time. At the moment that’s e.g. including profiling your tv shows for the new skip-intro feature. Those tasks can also include re-analyzing your files for changes or updating metadata. And finally… they all need resources (therefore they’re usually scheduled to run during some off hours).
