Why is Plex not matching my movies?!

In themoviedb directory, drill all the way down to HTTP.system\CacheInfo and check the permissions on CacheInfo.

same thing. Screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4C93yx0HG3ZbU9xYXluOHBtblk/view?usp=sharing

It’s been a while, have any of the posters downloaded? If not, go to the first movie and do a manual refresh on just that one.

In the Plex Server web app, go to the Movie library, go to the first movie, then do a manual refresh of just that movie.

sorry, didn’t mean to send that twice. I did a refresh on the first movie. No poster. And that was one of the ones that actually had a poster before.

on a less related note, I have 316 movies in my movie folder. Plex only shows 312.

also the method I mentioned in my original question with “fix incorrect match” no longer does anything.

Well, we’re making headway. Not sure what’s stopping the pictures from being downloaded though.

Looking through the logs still, and I wonder if the cache needs to be cleared. Take a look at this:

Since there are issues with com.plexapp.agents.themoviedb and com.plexapp.agents.imdb, make a backup of those directories in the cache directory, then delete them. After that, do a refresh on the Movie library.

Sorry to barge in, but what is the difference between “Update Library” and “Refresh All”. Also, what does “Analyze” and “Empty Trash” do?

you lost me a little bit there. Not sure how to make a backup in the cache directory.

what if i just delete my server, reinstall, and start over?

Just copy those two directories and paste somewhere else.

WOW! That fixed it for most of them. There are still about 37 without posters. Not perfect, but definitely more manageable.

There are other cache directories that might have something to do with artwork downloads. I’ll see what I can dig up and let you know. Glad that you are getting closer!

Go ahead and grab new logs and upload them here, I’ll look for more errors - might help figure out the other agent cache issues.

Sadly this didn’t fix anything for me, any other suggestions?
