Why does plex always say Star Trek is “recently added” TV? It’s not. All the new shows are getting added behind it. How do I fix this? It’s really annoying to always see this here when it’s not new.
It usually happens when you have files that have special characters.
The server time is set correctly (I just checked.) The dates on the files are 04/21/2005 - so it doesn’t appear to be a date issue as that’s clearly way in the past. In regards to special characters - SOME (not all) of the filenames have underscores _ in the file names, but so do a lot of other TV shows that don’t have this issue.
Have you tried to simply Plex Dance the ‘stuck’ show?
I ended up deleting the show - deleting it from plex - and re-adding it and this fixed it.
If the ridiculous “plex dance” fixes things, then why haven’t the plex dev’s either fixed the bug that causes it, or added a button to clear the cache for that show/movie to make this process easier… ridiculous. but thanks, looks like it’s working now.
