I have two recently set up Plex servers, one Plex cloud and one running on Ubuntu that I just set up on an old PC.
On both of them I have set Seinfeld to use DVD ordering yet the episode metadata still shows as if it’s using The TVDB’s airing order. I’ve manually refreshed metadata on both the entire series and some particular episodes I know are wrong but it’s still stuck with the airing order metadata.
Does anyone know what I can do to try to resolve this?
I can only assume that it is because Seinfeld is missing ‘Disc ID’ meta data over at TheTVDB

Futurama doesn’t have Disc ID either and it’s working fine though.
Are you only going by the episode pictures or did you also take a look at the episode titles?
Because the pictures being wrong are a known issue with the DVD ordering.
I’m going by the titles and metadata. For instance in DVD ordering season 9 only has 22 episodes but using airing ordering it has 24. Episode 21 should be “The Clip Show (a.k.a. The Chronicle) (1)” and episode 22 should be “The Finale (1)” with DVD ordering but my 21 and 22 are “The Clip Show (a.k.a. The Chronicle) (1)” and “The Clip Show (a.k.a. The Chronicle) (2)” respectively.
The funny thing is I’m setting up this new server on a dedicated system after running PMS on my iMac for years, and in my iMac library I’m decommissioning it’s all correct. It’s just not working on my two new (cloud and local) servers.
I wiped the server and started over and it works now. No idea why.
