So a couple of vids were feeding off my server tonight, and I noticed that both were transcoding, but only one was using hardware.
Vid 1: HEVC+DCA to a PS3 target. (HW encode)
Vid 2: H264+AC3 to an Apple TV (SW encode).
I’m just curious why the second video isn’t being handled in hardware. It was very puzzling to me.
