I’ve been experiencing a very frustrating bug(s), where on the Apple TV player the video frequently buffers, before automatically resuming, even when it was originally paused! This happens up to several times a minute, and makes plex basically unusable for my purposes, especially for taking notes (I use it to stream downloaded videos of my online classes). It even happens when the Apple TV has gone to its screensaver, suddenly the video’s audio starts playing without warning.
Likewise, there’s a similar bug on the iPad version, where the video playing in PiP won’t obey the pause button for more than a second before starting again, and, like on the Apple TV, will automatically and randomly start, and can even happen when the Plex app isn’t in the foreground.
I posted about this issue on the Plex subreddit, and it seems at least 1 other user is encountering the same issue on the apple TV. Also I found several posts from a year ago on this forum regarding the iPad’s issue, which was supposedly a known bug with a fix in the works? Evidently it’s still not fixed, so is there any workaround, or might the fixes be released soon?
