Why won't wont my plex connect to the plex media server?

I am super adhd and heavily medicated for pain so it was just easier for me to explain what is going on vs researching cause it hurts my brain… I have the Plex app and the Plex Media Server on my desktop… when I right-click the PLex symbol in the little tray where the time is, I select “open Plex” or I open the app… Regardless of which one I choose, I click your media and I get the message of “add your media to Plex and the get Plex Media Server button” I even ran updates on my computer and still I get the same thing…

This all started when apparently I was signed in for so long and all of a sudden I was not signed in and didnt realize it and I could not remember my sign in info and the forgot option was not helpful at all btw…

So here I am.

If you forgot the access credentiuals of your old plex.tv account, you need to make your server forget about them – so you can re-claim it using your new credentials (those which you used to post in this here forum).
