Wi fi not working on Rasplex

Hello I've just purchased raspberry. installed RasPlex & i like it. But i can't make te wi-fi connect to my network. I just get "network error input/output error " when i try to connect to my wi-fi network.

My wireless usb adapter is  edup 11n, Tried on my main computer which is running windows and it works fine. Tried another levelOne usb wifi card. The same problem "network error input/output error "

And after that if i go to RasPlex Settings under the connections i don't see my my network ssid anymore (with both wi-fi usb adapters).

I seems like there is some kind of bug. I don't know. Is there any log i can check ?

I  have wi fi without a authentication (without password).

I'm new at this so i would appreciate any help and advice i can get, Thanks

Please always mention your RasPlex version (visible on boot and via the RasPlex settings about menu).

If you're running 0.3.0 - this might be a known issue and should be fixed very soon with the upcoming 0.3.1 release.

Sorry i forgot to mention that. I use the latest version 0.3.0. When is the new version 0.3.1 coming out ? Can i somehow bypass the problem so i can use wi fi ?

Thanks, Bye

just use 0.2.2 until 0.3.1 is ready (probably already ready tomorrow).

same issue, should i reinstall 0.2.2 or are you almost done with 0.3.1  ? =) refreshing sourceforge every hour atm.

It’s almost ready - but delayed until Friday.

a_wein do you mean this Friday? Today? :D Are you guys on schedule?

Thanks :)

EDIT:

I also have problems with the a Alfa network adapter. It works with Raspbian, but not in Rasplex.

Version 0.3.0

I just started the build. Should be ready in ~8h. Thus the releas may be delayed one more day… Sorry, the long build times drive me crazy too…

I'm very happy that someone has the knowledge to something like this, and I am very grateful that some actually do this work! Thank you :D
