I installed rasplex (0.3.1) using the windows installer. I used "current" on the version dropdown, assuming it would be the latest stable release. I do not understand the thought behind the versioning though. 0.3.1 to 9.9.15? Nothing in between?

 

I am having problems getting it connected to my WiFi network. It keeps returning an "Error invalid arguments". I tried entering the password 4 times now and I am 100% it's the correct password. I tried setting a IP-adres but that did not help either. It does see networks and such but it just will not connect.

 

What am I doing wrong here? Did I miss a setting/step?

Anyone? I need wireless because all my routers ports are in use already.

Tried several things and managed to get a bit further.

One thing I noticed was, when I unplugged and replugged the USB Dongle, it crashes the raspberry pi. It does not do that when I connect my phone's charger. Both are 5v 1A.

I managed to get it working, 'tethering' my phones 3G connection. Any idea what it might be?

I use a 32 char WPA2-Personal with AES algorithm password containing both uper and lower case letters, numbers and characters such as # and +.

I have a similar setup;  Raspberry Pi 512MB Model B using a 8GB Class 10 Transcend SD and Edimax EW-7811Un WiFi dongle. Originally I had wifi issues connecting, but after resetting my router wireless settings it connects without issue.

Resetting your wireless settings? Was it just a change of pass(word/phrase) or a hard reset?

Removed all wifi settings, toggled all 802.11 antennas (a/b/g/n) off and on, then re-entered all wifi settings.
