The delay on this is truly ludicrous. If there’s a reason it can’t be done, or that they have chosen not to, tell us. Otherwise… it’s just an insane thing to refuse to implement.

It is not Plex fault if stupid Apple is locking their users in their platform again. Drop your Apple devices you wont have problems… Meanwhile it would be very useful to have plex to support HEIC file format. +1

I’m planning on switching off of Google Photos when their free storage option disappears. Please add support for this or the switch will be impossible for me!

HEIC support would be great. I’ve run out of video storage with Amazon Photos and would like to backup videos to my Plex server. The “Camera Upload” feature always converts HEIC/HEIV/HEVC to JPG/MOV, which would be fine if half of my content didn’t fail to upload to Plex after conversion.

Hi Plex developers:

HEIC support is long overdue for image libraries. It’s not rocket science to implement this. Even an average coder could incorporate it with modest effort.

Plex users have been requesting this for years–is anyone listening?
