Will LiveTV become available for all Plex Apps?

I have a Plex Server with an HDHomeRun Extend. I didn’t read the fine print when the ads said ‘Watch Live TV with Plex anywhere, anytime… on your iOS and Android device…’. So now I have an AppleTV4, a Samsung SmartTV with Plex installed, a Windows 10 PC two MacBooks and a Mac Mini that I can’t watch LiveTV on with Plex.

I guess what I’m asking, will LiveTV be available for those devices? I really want to complete the cord-cutting and this is the last step. But watching LiveTV on an iPhone or iPad with Plex is a pain, and I can’t get an HDHomeRun app for the SmartTV or AppleTV (unless I wanna pay $40).

We hope to have it on as many Plex apps as we can. Sorry there is no ETA on when any particular app will get it.

You can load the HD Grand Slam Channel in Plex until live TV is on all platforms.

Many thanks for the heads up. Is it safe to assume that the web app would be the first to appear as this will allow most people to at least benefit? I now have the system setup with Enigma2 but no way to view the channels…

@dladrach48 I’ve tried using it but it seems to give me errors every time I try to use it. Did you install from the ‘Install Channels’ option, or another way?

Yeah, I remember that let me find the fix I had to do to get it working.

Ok, so here is the fix I think you need. You will need to adjust that python script.

HDGrandSlam.bundle/Contents/Code/init.py
On Line 305 replace:
def ShowTunedTV(guideno,include_container=False,checkFiles=0):
with
def ShowTunedTV(guideno,include_container=False,checkFiles=0,includeBandwidths=0):
Save and restart plex (mine took a couple minutes without restart to pick up the changes).
